SESATS 12 Discontinuation
On March 1, 2023, the ABTS discontinued SESATS 12, which means that it is no longer accessible. This does not impact the latest version of SESATS: SESATS 13.

Self-Education Self Assessment in Thoracic Surgery (SESATS) XII (12) is a self-study and examination, published by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, intended to be used by thoracic surgeons as a comprehensive computer-based tool to study and review essential aspects of cardiac and thoracic surgery. SESATS XII (12) contains the following four sections:  adult cardiac, general thoracic, congenital cardiac, and critical care.  Completion of the study process and examination is expected to require approximately 70 hours on the part of the physician.  CME is no longer offered on this product.

To complete this activity, the participant should:

  • Read the learning objectives
  • Study and complete the entire SESATS XII (12) exercise, including the questions, critiques and accompanying graphics and references
